Iain served as an Officer in Surrey Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) for 30 years before retiring in July 2018. He is completing his Master’s degree in Systems Thinking in Practice and has been a strategic commander responsible for training, project management and implementation, commercial business development and income generation, regulatory fire safety enforcement, fire prevention/investigation and resilience planning and preparedness. Iain chaired the South-east of England regional Inter Agency Liaison Officers (NILO) group and was a member of the National NILO development group dealing with Counter Terrorism Security and Multi Agency (including Military) emergency service’s response. Iain is now a director of Griffin consulting and Specialist Resilience Solutions.
