The UK’s largest Manufacturer of fire and rescue appliances will be making a return to the Emergency Services Show at the NEC Birmingham, 21–22 September 2022. Managing Director, Mike Madsen, of Emergency One Group stated: ‘We look forward to returning to ESS this year and showcasing some of our new technology to our customers in the UK.’
The Emergency Services Show is the UK’s largest trade fair for emergency services, providing a powerful forum to meet with operational and procurement teams, framework providers and all personnel looking for technologies, equipment and solutions to improve public safety and emergency response.
The company plans to present a range of new products from both Emergency One (UK) and their sister company Clan Tools which demonstrate the very latest in technology in the market, some of which will be the first time on display in the UK!
Zero emissions, zero compromise
After a successful launch of the world’s first fully electric fire engine the E1 EV0 in 2020, Emergency One intends to introduce the newest E1 EV0 to the public at The Emergency Services Show. The brand new E1 EV0 is fully equipped with Alison eGen Power 100D electric axle, providing optimal performance with no emissions. Staying in line with the original appliance the E1 EV0 mark II operates on battery power for both drive and pump capabilities. An additional on-board smart charge allows the user to extend its driving range and pump duration if required but is not a necessity.
The eGen Power 100D electric axle integrates two high-speed electric motors and a multi-speed transmission, eliminating the need for additional drive shafts and support structures. This allows it to fit easily between the wheels, leaving critical space for battery storage. With continuous power of 536hp (400kW) and peak output power of 738hp (550kW), the eGen Power 100D is among the most powerful propulsion solutions in its class, with an architecture tuned for high gradeability and high top speed without sacrificing efficiency. This ensures Emergency One’s fire and rescue trucks will continue to deliver incomparable performance and reliability, fast acceleration and manoeuvrability in an application where failure is not an option, and every second counts.
Emergency One will also be showcasing the E1 Magirus M32L- AT and for the first time in the UK the brand-new Wolf R1!
The Magirus Wolf R1 is a tactical response robot that allows emergency services to remain outside the danger zone in conditions of hazardous material exploration, danger of collapse or intense heat development, while persevering on the spot with utmost precision. Specialised camera systems ensure that the operations command is always supplied with the latest live images and videos, while the fully electric drive moves the Wolf R1 purposefully and quietly on the most difficult surfaces and allows it to act flexibly, e.g. via robot arm.
The Magirus M32L-AT articulated turntable ladder with telescoping arm is the original of its kind. Several hundred units are already successfully in the field. The articulated ladder gets through to rescue locations that normal turntable ladders can’t reach. The fully automatic articulated ladder M32L-AT combines simultaneous movements according to DIN EN 14043. The five-section ladder set with active oscillation damping CS (Computer Stabilized) and additional telescopic section ensures variable penetration depth up to 4.7m. The ladder turret with automatic self-levelling provides up to 17.6% side slope. The Magirus M32L-AT is very easy to operate safely thanks to display indications and computer monitoring. The rescue cage with centrally arranged control stand comes with entrance gates at the cage front corners according to practical experience.
