Horbury Property Services’ Team secures further accreditations
The Horbury Property Services team has added to its list of accolades with two staff becoming BM TRADA Q-Mark Fire Door Maintenance accredited and four members of the team successfully completing their FDIS Diploma in fire door inspection.
The Q-Mark Fire Door Maintenance scheme is widely regarded as the most rigorous certification process available for the installation and maintenance of construction products.
It considers how to correctly maintain fire doors, a requirement under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order, referencing the scheme’s unique Accepted Repair Technique (ART) procedures. The Fire Door Maintenance scheme is designed specifically for individuals and organisations directly involved in maintaining a building’s fire doors.
The FDIS Diploma in Fire Doors is a series of modules designed to strengthen an individual’s knowledge of fire door requirements in commercial and residential buildings. The Diploma programme covers fire doors and their components, including testing and certification, regulations and standards, inspection and maintenance. It also looks in detail at different types of material including timber fire and escape doorsets and metal fire doors, plus glazing, seals, ironmongery and signage.
Securing these prestigious qualifications will enable Horbury Property Services’ specialist team to ensure that customers are fully compliant and up to date with fire safety requirements. In many cases, the team can carry out inspection, repairs and remedial work, on the same visit.
