The Difference Between Life and Death – The Cygnus Could Save Your Life
Over the last few years, Bull Product’s Cygnus Wireless Alarm System has protected some of the largest construction projects across the UK including Elephant Park, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Embassy Gardens, and much more.
A major innovation in wireless emergency fire, first aid, and intruder alarms, the Cygnus Wireless Alarm System has raised the bar in the construction industry and is the most successful and adaptable temporary alarm system on the market.
Bull Products, a manufacturer of life-saving fire protection equipment, shares the top five facts of its wireless alarm system, and why every contractor needs the system on site.
1. Long distance connection
Did you know Cygnus has been specially designed for use in dense concrete and steel structured buildings, and areas where there are many other radio frequencies in use? Therefore, particular attention has been given to achieving an extremely long-range connection.
Distances in excess of 1.5km have been recorded in an open-air environment. Whilst this range is not guaranteed on-site due to limiting obstacles, Cygnus covers impressive distances due to a networking meshing system that allows devices to communicate through one another and not just directly to the panel.
2. Protection for the whole site
The alarms can operate in a maximum of 15 zones with up to 32 devices per zone. It’s capable of controlling all zones from a control panel operating on the same frequency but distinguished by different zone addresses. In the case of a real alarm, the message is communicated to every device within the site.
As a site grows with new floors or areas of construction, the easy-to-fit wireless alarm system can grow with it, and as phases of the build are completed, alarms and detectors can easily be moved or removed with minimal damage.
3. Easy installation
Did you know the Cygnus alarm system can be installed in minutes? There’s minimal interference to ongoing construction and no complicated cabling with a wireless alarm. Drilling holes, laying wires, and protecting the cable network from accidental breakages or rodent damage are a thing of the past.
Making installation even simpler, the wireless alarm system can also be delivered pre-configured to the customer’s request, with clearly marked labels on each device.
4. Latest technology
Delivering an impressive signal-range, the Cygnus system conforms to EN300 220 Category 1 requirements. Mesh protocol ensures seamless point-to-point and multipoint communication. Bull’s specialist software ensures the performance of the system can be optimised with a central control panel. Each control panel reports back on device status and provides condition updates including signal faults and battery usage.
5. Bespoke to your requirements
No matter what a company’s site requirements, the Cygnus wireless alarm system provides an innovative and reliable solution. So, whether a site needs an intruder alarm, a first aid alert facility or interface units, Bull’s innovative system will ensure workers and a site are protected when and where it matters the most. Additionally, the Cygnus Wireless Alarm can be used in conjunction with turnstiles, lifts, automatic doors, and other monitoring systems.
