Viking EMEA strengthens its Viking Turkey organization and appoints Nihat Yıldırım as new Country Manager
Differdange/Istanbul: Viking EMEA is delighted to announce that Nihat Yıldırım joined its organization as Country Manager for Viking Turkey on 1st June 2020. In this newly created position, Nihat will be responsible for the market strategy and development of Viking Turkey, and in particular for sales, EBITDA, and cash-flow.
Viking understands that success in Turkey and the Turkish region (Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Georgia) requires an improved way of meeting local market’s expectations. The newly created position will enable Nihat to excel in and demonstrate business dynamism and entrepreneurship.
Nihat, 39 years old, is a Mechanical Engineer with more than 16 years of experience in the construction business. He has developed his career in the sales domain, serving as Sales Engineer, Senior Sales Manager and Business Unit Manager, in both local and large international companies. The close proximity between the industry and customers of heating & cooling and fire protection will help him to position and grow Viking Turkey strongly in the market.
Alan Arelli, Managing Director at Viking’s headquarters in Luxembourg, confirms: “Viking Turkey plays an instrumental role in the entire Viking EMEA market strategy. As such, we are delighted to appoint Nihat as Country Manager for Turkey. His experience and well-known market reputation alongside his strategic mindset are strong assets for the development of the fire protection market in Turkey and the Turkish regions and the Viking Turkey organization in particular.” Nihat himself is looking forward to meeting both existing and new customers, mechanical engineers and other key stakeholders in the market. He is eager to help them understand how Viking can support them in their building projects; to inform about and propose adequate solutions to mitigate fire risks; to create and highlight added value for their business thanks to Viking’s unique technology in water, water mist, foam, gas and fire detection systems; and to further build trust in Viking and its fire protection products and solutions. “This new start is not only a sign of new blood into the veins of Viking, but also it is proof of a new approach and understanding for Viking of the Turkish and Caspian fire suppression market. With this new approach, Viking Turkey will be more localised on its territory and give more support to its customers and partners for
their perfect solutions. We are going to develop our organization, support our customers and penetrate the market deeply. All sector professionals are going to hear and see the Viking Turkey organization more than ever when it comes to professional and certified fire suppression systems.”.
